Please allow me to introduce myself and the healing work I offer.
I attended the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine in 1997. Upon graduation, I opened my own practice out of my home in Saint George, Maine. I also did medical massage in a chiropractic office in Camden for six years after which I moved to my own office in the same town. I split my time between my two locations.
I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and I am Nationally Certified. I love to learn and have attended a long and wide variety of continuing education classes. My initial training was in Swedish and Sports Massage. I have taken advanced study in Orthopedic, Medical, Myofascial, Facial Rejuvenation and European Stone Massage. Although my work is more on the physical realm, I have also learned Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy. Even though I don't practice Reiki and CranioSacral, I know their many benefits and when they are appropriate I will refer out when I see a need. I became a certified Reflexologist in 2006. I have studied another alternative therapy called Bowenwork and became a Certified Professional Practitioner in 2005 and completed advanced study in 2013. I am a Member of the Bowenwork Academy USA.
